Quantity Surveyor

• Candidates must have a track record of excellence, with experience of successfully delivering high-calibre construction projects.
• Must have a proven track record in a role which required liaison with project teams, designers, clients and other parties to ensure that the project is a complete success.
• They must also be able to work in project teams alongside project and site managers, design managers, as well as specialist subcontractors, and be able to manage the commercial aspects of their projects,  to achieve tight end dates in a controlled manner, without ever compromising quality or safety.
• Degree qualification or trade background considered.

• Management, development and tutelage of junior members of the commercial team.
• Pre-contract advice on project costs, along with pre-construction advice to ensure that budgets reflect the design as it evolves.
• Responsibility for project estimating and procurement.
• Provision of programme advice and liaison with subcontractors on start dates.
• Implementation of control documents over the course of a project, such as procurement and payment schedules.
• Monthly cost and value reconciliation including assessment of cost to completion
• Compilation of interim applications for both main and subcontracts,ensuring works are always valued fairly and on time.
• A collaborative working approach with both the clients' and subcontractors surveyors to ensure that all parties are always given an accurate reflection of the final cost of the project works
• Compilation and execution of subcontract orders.
• Issue of notices as required both under main and sub-contracts.
• Communication with all stakeholders throughout, using correct means of communication when appropriate.
• Agreement of final accounts for both main and sub-contracts.
